On June 21, 1969, Vickie Marie Fite was born to the proud parents of Nathaniel Coby Sr.
and Verlene Coby, in Longview, Texas. As the eldest of her siblings, Vickie didn’t just
assumed the role of a big sister but mothered her siblings with love and tender care.
She attended Longview Public Schools. She graduated from Avalon Vocational School as a
Computer Operator in 1992.
Vickie, affectionately known as & quot; The Queen & quot; to all who adored her, peacefully departed this.
earthly life on June 15, 2025, at the age of 55.
A woman who truly embraced life with joy, humor, and boundless love, she leaves behind a
legacy of laughter, warmth, and unforgettable memories. As a part of her sense of humor,
she would often remind family that she was the “queen,” and they were the “peasants”.
Vickie was a force of nature—vivacious, spirited, and endlessly proud of her family.
On March 24, 2023, Vickie united in marriage with Precious Obani.
Among her most treasured life chapters was her experience and travel to Africa. Whether
she spent time with family, giving out advice, or dancing to her favorite songs, she made.
Every moment counts.
Vickie cherished her family. Her legacy lives on through the countless lives she
touched as a devoted wife, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend.
Vickie was preceded in death by her father, Nathaniel Coby, Sr., and brother Nathaniel Coby.
