Nelwyn Fite Palmer 69

June 13, 1954—

Sunrise:  On Sunday, June 13, 1954, in Longview, Texas, the life journey began for a bouncing baby girl were named Nelwyn Fite Palmer.  The proud parents Anna Lee Williams Fite and Mack Henry Pierce.

Education:  Nelwyn’s early education started at the Janie Daniel Elementary School In Longview, Texas.  The family later moved to Gilmer, Texas and she graduated from Gilmer, High School in 1973.  Nelwyn later received an Associate Degree in Cosmetology.

Religion:  Religion was a fundamental part of Nelwyn’s life. At an early age, Nelwyn joined the Growing Valley Baptist Church of Longview, Texas. Where she was very active in the Youth Department.    Later, Nelwyn joined Lewis Chapel CME Church of Longview, Texas and worked faithfully in various capacities until health prevented her  from working.

Family:   Becoming a Mother brought much joy in Nelwyn’s life.  She was the proud Mother of two(2) sons – L’Kendric Fite and L’Ventric Fite and one(1) daughter – Sharmona Fite.

Romance: Nelwyn met and married the Love of her Life, Mr. Harold Palmer.  This Blessed union remained until her death.

Love Ones Waiting at Heaven’s Gates:  Daughter – Sharmona Fite; Mother – Anna Cobbins; Father – Mack Pierce; Brothers – Loniel Fite and Laddell Fite; Maternal Grandparents- Perry and Alluter Williams; Paternal Grandmother, Alice Brown; and other family members.

Loved Ones Who Will Cherish Her Memories:  Husband – Harold Palmer, Longview, TX; Sons – L’Kendric Fite and L’Vendric Fite, both of Longview, TX; Grandchildren – Desmond Fite, Kayla Stephenson, Mikel Collins, Tionna Fite, Shamia Collins, Iyana Fite, Tristan Fite; Great Grandchildren – Aliyah Fite and Serenity Fite; Sisters – Gaye Lois Thomas and Annette Summers; Sister-in-law – Lillian Fite, Mexia, TX; Nephews – Farley Fite II, Ryan Fite, Kenyatta Fite, Early Ross, Jr, Steven Ross; Nieces – Dr. Tamber Fite, Anna Fite, Portia Jeter; Maternal Aunt Dorothy Mae “Aunt Sis” Bell, Longview, TX.; cousins and a host of other relatives and friends.
