Nathanial "Champ" Norman, Sr.
May 1, 1929 - February 1, 2013
Nathanial Norman, Sr. was born to the parentage of the late Mr. Spurgeon Norman and Mrs. Ellen Norman.
Mr. Nathanial Norman grew up in the Starrville community and attended school at Jackson and Dunbar Elementary schools. He attended high school at Emmett J. Scott.
He was married to the late Ola T. Drawhorn and to this union four children were born.
He was employed at King Cleaners as a presser. He relocated to Los Angeles, California and after twenty-five years returned to Tyler where he continued working as a silk finisher and presser at Quality Cleaners.
He was a faithful member of New Life Community Church. As his health declined, he attended the Growing Valley Baptist Church in Longview, Texas.
He leaves to cherish his memories:

Uncle: Vonda Lee Lewis (Margarette) of Plano, TX
