Montgomery is survived by his loving mother, Two sisters,
who will be celebrating his life in a funeral service to be held at a later date in Western New York. A
long-haul trucker, Montgomery learned his trade while serving in the United States Army. He loved the
freedom of the open road and spoke often of the beautiful landscapes he saw across this country and in
Europe where he was stationed. The family wishes to acknowledge and thank VA staff in Tyler and Dallas
for their compassionate care and support these last many years. Montgomery will be proudly buried
with military honors at a National Cemetery near his home town.
Donations in his memory may be
made to the U.S. Veterans Initiative (usvets.org) or the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation of America
(crohnscolitisfoundation.org).
