GREGORY ALLAN FOSTER ‘63’

BORN 8/30/1962 - DECEASED 8/04/2026

Heaven gained another sweet Angel on 8/4/2026…. Greg was born in Garland, Tx and passed from this earthly life in Longview, Tx to his eternal home after a brief illness.

If you knew Greg, he LOVED his family dearly, always knowing the dates of marriages, birthdays, etc. He held a wealth of knowledge, even knowing dates that happened, way before he was even born.

During his lifetime, Greg held lots of hats, from being a shoe salesman at Joske’s (now Dillard’s) in his early career days to making water sprinkler heads at TELSCO/Weathermatic. He then moved into being an Electrician with Darden Electric and then to Fox Electric. From there he ended his career being a maintenance technician with the Salvation Army in Longview.

Greg was an avid NASCAR fan, supporting his favorite driver, Jeff Gordon, until his retirement, and then began supporting Joey Logano.

Greg was preceded in death by Father, Billy Lee Foster, Mother, Ivy Juanita Chase Foster & Brother, Billy Wayne Foster along with Grandparents, Lester & Odie Merle Foster and Dudley & Ivy Josephine Chase.

He is survived by Sister, Sherri Lea Locke and husband Lonnie, long-time friend, Katrina Peace, several nieces and nephews, along with many loving cousins on both the Chase & Foster Families, and a host of many good friends.

Memorial Service will be held 8/22 at 11:30 at the Salvation Army, 451 West Ave D, Garland, Tx 75040.

Captain Tamara Robb, Salvation Army, Longview, Tx will be officiating.
