Amanda R. Allen (42)

Amanda Rene Allen of Hawkins, Texas, left her earthly home on October 7th to enter the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She would have been 43 years old on October 10. Amanda was known by her friends and family for her great sense of humor and quick wit. She had a caring love for everyone and was always willing to step up when others were in need.

Amanda was born in Denton, Texas, and passed away in Longview, Texas. She attended school in Whitehouse, Big Sandy, Texas.

In Heaven, Amanda was reunited with her late father, Philip Allen, and her grandparents, William and Senora Turner, and Bill and Nancy Bridges. She was also preceded in death by her Aunt Lana, Uncle Hugh, and Uncle Larry.

Amanda is survived by her mother, Sherri Turner of Hawkins, stepfather Dr. Keith Bridges, stepmother Rochelle Carriere, and grandparents Jason and Sharon Bedgood. She has two children, a son, Hunter, and a daughter, Hayden. Her siblings are Courtney, Brandy, Leah, Lauren, and Jason. Amanda’s aunts and uncles are Debbie, Jan, Elaine, Cheryl, Dain, and Kyle. Amanda has many nieces and nephews.

Graveside funeral services, officiated by Dr. Keith Bridges, are scheduled for 5 PM on Thursday, October 16, at Mt. Pisgah Missionary Baptist Church, 4995 FM 49, Mineola, Texas. All of Amanda’s friends and family are invited and welcome to attend this Celebration of the Life of Amanda Allen.
