Alex Dewayne Lilly 39

In Loving Memory of Alex DeWayne Lilly 1983 2023.

It is with great sorrow that we announce the untimely passing of Alex DeWayne Lilly. Alex was born in Longview, Texas to Sheldon Rhett Lilly, and Leatha Cooper on July 17, 1983.

Alex grew up in Longview, Texas. He was a vibrant soul who embraced independence and had a profound love for travel and patriotism to his country. Alex graduated from Longview Charter High School in 2001.

He enlisted in the Navy later that year, he did one tour in Iraq, and then re-enlisted in the Merchant Marines. Alongside his adventurous spirit, Alex possessed a knack for business and real estate that set him apart.

Alex's thirst for exploration led him to wander far and wide. His courageous pursuit of new experiences enriched his life and inspired those around him to embrace the unknown. Alex's free-spirited nature and insatiable curiosity will forever be remembered.

In addition to his passion for travel, Alex displayed a remarkable aptitude for business. With an innate entrepreneurial spirit, he had an uncanny ability to identify opportunities and turn them into successful ventures.

He had a trucking company, Hoodwood enterprise, real estate, and was a licensed electrician. As we bid farewell to Alex, let us cherish the memories of his independence, his wanderlust, and his business acumen. He lived life on his own terms, leaving an inspiring legacy for us to follow.

Though his time with us was cut short, his impact will endure as a testament to his remarkable spirit.

Alex was preceded in death by his father, Sheldon Rhett Lilly,

He is survived by his mother, Leatha Cooper, brothers, Corey Lilly, and Joshua Lilly, Sisters, LaKeshia Lilly, and Destiny Lilly, Sister in Law Heidi Lilly, and a host of beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

May all who loved him find solace in the memories you shared and draw strength from the legacy Alex leaves behind. May his adventurous, unique soul rest in eternal peace.

From Mom,

Lord, I don't know why this happened to my family. Fill my empty heart with your love and peace. Help me rise again and soar like eagles. Ease my pain and strengthen my relationship with you during this trying time. Quench my heart with your love and let your grace sustain me during this mourning period. Thank you for the time that you gave me with my child. May you secure those memories in my mind till we meet again. In Jesus' loving name, I believe and pray. Amen.

Love you, Mom!
